| 2008 Buckeye Bamboo Bash The 2008 BBB was held, Saturday, 10 May at the usual place. The 08 BBB was sponsored by Mohican Fly Fishers of Ohio, RKP Cane Rods, and Whetstone Fly Fishing Outfitters. Lot of nice rods showed up including some vintage Payne's courtesy of Bill Kaplan. Heavy rain and almost $4.00 per gallon gas seemed to hold the attendance down but we still had a good group for the event. Ron Thompson contributed marinated wild turkey which went well with the perennial hot dog and Hobo stew lunch. It all tasted good and the CDC has not called asking probing questions, or demanding samples for analysis - so I think we can call it a well done deal. |
